PRIER Products Mansfield Style 500 Series replacement stem M-123-0095 for a 12 inch frost proof wall hydrant is 16 inches overall length (OAL). This replacement stem is for the ?Old Style? full-turn 500 series Mansfield style wall hydrants only (578-12, 579-12). This older style wall hydrant may have either a right hand or left hand packing nut, so the replacement stem comes complete with both right and left hand graphite packing (packing nuts sold separately) and is pre-tapped (threaded) for the handle screw. The Mansfield 500 series was a full-turn model (hydrant handle turns a full 360 degrees to turn the water on) and was manufactured from 1970-2006.
